Addressable Fire Alarm System

An addressable fire alarm system is made up of a series of fire detectors and devices that are connected back to a central control panel. With addressable systems, each device has an address or location, enabling the exact detector that was triggered to be quickly identified. This makes addressable alarm systems ideal for large buildings, particularly commercial premises spread over a wide area.

  • Quickly Determine the location of a fire
  • Specific actions can be programmed by the user
  • Reduced likelihood and better handling of false alarms
  • More reliability, less likely to lose connection
  • Lower overall cost of wiring
  • Ability to monitor integrity of the system, with detector health checks

Fire Hydrant and Sprinkler System

In a building, a fire hydrant system is a safety measure or emergency equipment required in some buildings that comprises a series of components that when assembled together provide a source of water to assist fire authorities in a fire. Putting it another way, a fire hydrant system is a water supply with a sufficient pressure and flow delivered through pipes throughout a building to strategically located network of valves for fire-fighting purposes.

In some circumstances, water from a reticulated fire hydrant system can also be shared with other safety measures such as automatic fire sprinkler systems or fire hose reels.

In Bangladesh, the Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC) sets out the Deemed-to-Satisfy (DtS) provisions for a fire hydrant system required in buildings to the degree necessary to facilitate the needs of the fire brigade for.

Fire hydrant systems are designed and installed in accordance with Australian Standard AS2419 and comprise the following primary components:

  • Water Supply & Storage
  • Pipework & Valves
  • Fire Brigade Booster
  • Pumpset
  • Hydrant, Hydrant Valve or Landing Valve & Coupling
  • Layflat Fire Hose
  • Block Plan

Fire Door Guards & Accessories

In many commercial environments fire doors are propped open to allow for air circulation or ease of access – but not only does this contravene the Fire Safety Regulations, it is also highly dangerous as your fire doors will not be able to stop the spread of fire in an emergency.

There is however a simple solution, the team at Target Fire Protection can install a fire door guard that is acoustically operated to automatically close the door when your alarm is activated.

A wireless fire door guard is quick and easy to install and is suitable for almost any application, including care homes, schools, offices and hotels. They allow you to leave a fire door open, knowing that should the alarm sound, the door will be released to protect the occupants and assets of your business premises.
